What is Pitch Night for Small Businesses?

This is a dynamic event that aims to support and promote the growth of small businesses. This

competition provides an opportunity for selected applicants to present their existing small

business and showcase their plans for expansion and growth. Participants will compete for a

chance to win prize funds that can be utilized to develop their business further. Whether you

have a retail store, a service-based company, or any other small business, this competition is

designed to help you take your venture to new heights.

How the Application Works

To apply, interested small business owners can submit an application (below) outlining their

existing business and their strategies for growth. The application process is simple and

straightforward. If your application is chosen, a representative from the organizing committee

will contact you to provide further instructions and details. Applications will be considered

for one event only. Candidates are required to submit a new application for each event.

How the Event Works

Upon selection as one of the finalists, each participant will be given a designated time slot to

deliver a persuasive pitch highlighting their current business operations and outlining their plans

for expansion. Be prepared to share insightful information about your target market, revenue

projections, marketing strategies, and any other relevant aspects of your growth plan. After your

pitch, a question and answer session will follow, allowing the panel of judges to further evaluate

your business and expansion strategies.

Winner Selection Process

At the end of the event, the judging forms will be carefully evaluated, and four winners will be

announced. The prize funds will be distributed to the following:

• First Place Pitch Winner
• Second Place Pitch Winner
• Third Place Pitch Winner

Audience Favorite Pitch (This winner can be any of the pitchers, including the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd

place winners.)

In the event of a tie, a ghost judge will be brought in to determine the winner. It's important to

note that there is no payback requirement associated with the prize funds. Even if you don't

emerge as a winner, you can reapply and participate in future Pitch Night events. Please refer to

Additionally, our organization will stay in touch with the winners periodically over the next 12

months to monitor the progress of their business ideas and the impact of the funds received.
